Material Design Lite WordPress Starter Theme available for free

Google just announced the first stable release of the Material Design Lite (MDL) components and today we are happy to introduce them.es Starter MDL – a free WordPress Starter Theme built with Material Design Lite!

What is included?

Material Design Lite is an Open-Source project which allows developers to use the Google typical Material Design look and feel on websites.

Pages developed with MDL will adhere to modern web design principles like browser portability, device independence, and graceful degradation.

Installing the Starter Theme

  • Open the them.es Starter MDL website and Download the Starter Theme
  • Setup a new WordPress instance
  • Upload the Starter Theme and activate it on your WordPress instance
  • Add Pages and Posts
  • Add the Main Navigation Menu and an optional Footer Menu
